Among the highlights are the Great Hall, Dumbledore’s Study, the Gryffindor common room, Snape’s classroom and Mrs Weasley’s kitchen complete with enchanted knitting needles constantly clicking away on their own.
Elsewhere on the site is the great red steam locomotive which took Harry & his friends to Hogwarts. It now stands permanently at Platform 9 and three quarters, with steam billowing around you as you step in. Diagon Alley is always great fun to explore with its hints of gold leading to the goblin bank, Weasley’s Joke Shop and Ollivander’s Wands. You can even peep inside the Knight Bus and No 4 Privet Drive, complete with its cupboard under the stairs where Harry slept for so many years. New this year is the Forbidden Forest complete with a giant Spider and his spiderlings.
Masses upon masses of props can be seen throughout the site, including the heads of 200 mythical creatures, goblin and house elf armour, wands and swords. Every item is intricately detailed. One of the most stunning examples of the props used in the film is the amazing door designed to give access to the basilisk.
